AT&T Samsung Captivate I897 shutting down Issue

It seems that many Samsung Captivate I897 owners for AT&T have the same issue, which is the Sasmung Captivate phone will shut down when idle after a full charge and unplugged from the charger. As for this problem, there are several solutions to fix it, including:
1.set the screen timeout to 2 minutes
2.close Wi-Fi on phone .AT&T Cell Phone Problems and Solutions
3. soft reset” turning off the phone and removing the battery for 30 seconds or so.
4. under the Settings>Display settings>Screen timeout .AT&T Samsung Captivate i897 info
Sadly, all these fixs listed above can鈥檛 solve the fundamental problem. Recently Samsung official responses to us that this is a insoluble problem, as the battery compartment is too big and causes the battery to arc (short out) and shut your phone off.
