How to set/use Voice Recordings as Ringtones on AT&T Samsung Mythic

To set a voice recording as the Voice Call Ringtone follow the steps below:

Note: There are four different preloaded audio profiles that have the ability to be edited.

  1. From the standby screen, press Menu
  2. Scroll to Main Menu 3 then press Settings
  3. Press Sound Profile
  4. Press on聽the Sound Profile to be edited from the following:
    • Normal 聽 聽聽
    • Driving 聽聽聽
    • Outdoor 聽
  1. From the聽Call screen (Use the drop down arrow in the top right corner):
    • Press on Voice Call Ringtone (AT&T Tone)
      • Press on Tones
      • Press on the bent arrow 聽, left of Tones
      • Press on Recorded Audio
      • Press on the desired Recorded Audio file then press on Add
    • Set the Ringtone Volume setting AT&T cell phone Questions&Answers
  2. Press on Save to keep the Normal, Driving or Outdoor Sound Profile settings

How Do I Assign A Ringtone Or Image To A Contact On My SGH-A897 (Mythic) Phone?

Note: Audio files less than 300 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 300 KB are considered Music. Therfore, you cannot set an audio file as a ringtone if it is larger than 300 KB.

To assign a Ringtone to an address book Contact follow the steps below:

  1. From the standby screen, press Contacts
  2. Press the desired Contact
  3. Press Edit
  4. Scroll down then press Ringtone
  5. Press the bent arrow 聽, left of Tones
  6. Press either Tones, Music or Recorded Audio
  7. Press the desired audio file, to play it, then Press Add
  8. Press Save to keep the Contact changes

Q: How to assign Mp3 files as ringtones on Samsung mythic for AT&T, is it poosible?

A: Of course, it is possible. Just follow the steps below:

Please note:1. Audio files less than 300 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 300 KB are considered as Music. You cannot set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 300 KB.

2. The Music Player does not necessarily support all features of a particular file format nor all the variations of those formats. The Music Player includes support for Digital rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play some purchased or subscription content.
