AT&T Cell Phone Problems and Solutions - Then you can follow the steps below to set the Mp3 as ringtone to a contact on AT&T Captivate:

1. Press the Home Key
2. Tap on Applications
3. Tap on My Files
4. Navigate to and tap on the file
5. Press the Menu Key and tap Set as
6.Tap Caller ringtone
7. Tap on the contact in the phonebook
8. Tap Save to assign the MP3 ringtone to the contact

Note: You onl can set the Mp3 music under 300kb as ringtone . As for the mp3 over 300k, you have to use some application to cut the most popular that you like off to make it smaller than 300kb.
