There are some other issues exiting after installing the android 2.2 Froyo update on Motorola Bravo, including:

Issue 1: If unable to recognize the Android 2.2 Froyo upgrade package

1. It is possible that the SD card package was renamed.
1)The downloaded file must be saved exactly as it appears (do not rename the file) “Blur_Version.37.4.0.MB520.ATT.en.US”
2) Ensure it does not have two extensions .zip.zip
3) Misnamed due to multiple downloads- i.e, update(1).zip
2. The downloaded file might not be located in root folder
then It must be at the top level of the Micro SD card, it cannot be in a sub-folder.
3. The file may have been only partially downloaded
1) Full file size should be ~ 96.8 MB
2) Please ensure you delete a partially download file and follow the appropriate steps to start the process again.
4. There is another software package already placed at the top level of the Micro SD card.
then Please ensure all software packages were deleted before uploading the upgrade package into your Micro SD card
5. Phone was not properly disconnected after uploading the upgrade package into your Micro SD card.
1) Unmount your Micro SD Card from your computer
* For Windows, select the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the System Tray, then select Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device, you will see a notification stating Safe To Remove Hardware
* For MACs, select the Eject button in the Finder next to the SD Card Device
2) Turn off USB Drive from device
* Pull down the Notification bar at the top of the screen and then tap “USB connection” in the “Ongoing” part of the screen
* In the “USB connection” dialogue tap “None” and then tap OK button.

Issue 2: Software Version Requirements

* You can be on the latest versions of Motorola Bravo Android 2.1 (Eclair) software to proceed with the upgrade
—- Blur_Version.37.4.0.MB520.ATT.en.US
* If you are prompted with a BOTA notification to update to one of the later versions of software, please proceed with the BOTA update and then continue with the Upgrade to 2.2.
* Tip: If you鈥檝e received a notification to upgrade your device, but are unable to pull the update, we suggest checking your Blur sync options under the settings of your phone:

  1. From the Home screen press Menu > Settings > Data manger > Data Delivery > Blur Applications
  2. Under the Sync over WiFi only, remove the check from the box
  3. After a few minutes return to check for updates again

Issue 3: Not enough space on the Micro SD Card - Freeing up memory from the Micro SD Card:

1. Anything stored on the memory card can be removed to free up space. All pictures, videos, and music are by default saved to the memory card.
2. Freeing up space here requires you to mount the device鈥檚 Micro SD Card to the PC to view the files in the device and drag-n-drop files in and out of the Micro SD Card.
3. If mounting the device to their PC is not preferred, then downloading a free app from the Market will allows you to manage the Micro SD Card files and delete them, such as Astro File Manager.
4. The memory required to upgrade is only needed to store the upgrade file temporarily so it can be installed to the device. After the upgrade, the file on the SD Card will need to be deleted manually to allow future updates to be installed.
5. If any personal files are removed from the Micro SD Card to make room for the upgrade file, they can be replaced after the upgrade since that memory is no longer needed.
6. Refer “Step 1″ session at the top of this page to check the required Micro SD card memory amount that needs to be available for the upgrade to 2.2.1 (Froyo).

Issue 4: Freeing up memory from internal storage:

1. Only downloaded applications from the Market can be uninstalled to free this space. Deleting media or files on the Micro SD card will not change the available memory on the internal phone storage.
2. If applications need to be uninstalled (free or paid), You鈥檇 be able to re-install them later for free.
3. The internal memory reduction will be permanently reduced by the values listed below. To free space to meet the memory requirement, remove the applications that are not used.
4. Refer “Step 1″ session at the top of this page to check the required internal memory amount that needs to be available for the upgrade to 2.2.1 (Froyo).

Issue 5: Device Support

1. This upgrade is only intended for Motorola Bravo鈩 AT&T devices.
2. Other Motorola Android devices are not supported on this release.
3. Please refer to the Motorola Software Update Landing page for device support
