AT&T to buy T-Mobile for $39 billion to be the largest wireless network operator In US

AT&T Recently has announced that it will spend $39 billion to purchase the T-Mobile, If the deal can be finally reached, AT & T will have 130 million registered users, surpassing Verizon to become the largest mobile operator in U.S, controling 43% of U.S. mobile market.

As the lastest news about AT& T purchasing T-Mobile come out, some market participants raised concerns about the monopoly. There antitrust experts believe that the FCC and the Justice Department will may force the combined company to give up some important assets, including the United States part of the spectrum. FCC may also require AT & T to expand mobile services to poor and rural areas, and pledges to do more, including increased data roaming packages.
The examination for the demands is strict, but many many analysts have pointed out AT & T would be willing to make more concessions to make the deal final approval. As if AT & T and T-Mobile鈥檚 acquisition of transaction is approved, the new AT & T have more “bargaining power ” when face Apple and Google. While whether this means we can cheaply buy the Iphone in futture?
