AT&T Samsung Captivate i897 will get Android 2.3 Gingerbread update
Great new for Samsung Captivate i897 owners for AT&T, recenty it is said that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update will come to Samsung Captivate. According to SamFirmware Team, we heard that couple of new ROMs for Samsung Captivate for AT&T have been leaked, fortunately, the ROM will bring the latest Gingerbread update for Captivate i897 powered by android 2.2 froyo. Exciting!, the builds UCKE3 and UCKF1 are now available for download via Odin, if you are not afraid of to restore your Samsung Captivate phone, you can try the Android 2.3 update for your device when it is completly available.

When will I be able to download the 2.3 OS?
It should be soon, but there is no an exact release date, I guess it may be sometime in September
The last time AT&T & Samsung promised the upgrade to 2.2, it took 6 months to get it. Why should us AT&T customers not think that the 2.3 release will take 6 months? Everyone knows that 2.3 was released back in Nov 2010. Now where almost clipping Sep and no 2.3 release. Got any concrete and honest answers this time for us “Loyal” customers???????
well September is almost over, the Rodgers version is out for Kies, but still nothing from AT & T. Any update on this?
