In the middle of September, AT&T had said they would release the new improved Push to talk service in November. Recently, AT&T finally launch the new data plan for us, what’s more important, AT&T rolled out two new devices to support the new PTT service, one is the Samsung Rugby III, and the other is Sonim XP5560 Bolt.
Rugby III is ruggedized flip phone, it features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 3 megapixel camera. Also it has the functions of waterproof and dustproff , as well as shockproof. This handset is free with a new two-year PTT contract.
As for the Sonim Bolt, it is an ultra-rugged phone with a cute bar-stytle design. It is worthing mention that the XP5560 Bolt can work under the toughest environments. Therefore, it is expensive, priced at $199 with new PTT contracts.
So far, you may don’t know what’s AT&T’s new Enhanced PTT plans, in fact, it just charged customers $5 per month when added to existing AT&T voice and data plans or $30 per month for a PTT-only rate plan (no voice or non-PTT data included). Unfortunately, AT&T didn’t provide the new data plan for the availability of the devices.
