Official: AT&T Intros 5 New Android Smartphones

It’s official, today AT&T announces that they are planning to lanuch new android smartphones in Q4 2011, they are respectively Motorola Atrix 2 from MotorolaCaptivate Glide and DoubleTime for Samsung, Pantech Pocket, and ZTE Avail. Sadly, it seems that the previous rumored several upcoming new ATT android phones  are not included in this lineup.

Motorola Atrix 2- Previously we have reported some news about the Atrix 2. Obviuously, it is the successor to the Motorola Atrix, will will be powered by a  dual-core 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, equiped withAndroid 2.3 Gingerbread OS ,  an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, 1080p HD video capture , a user-facing camera. Also the Atrix 2 has a 4.3-inch qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels and  a 2GB microSD card. In addtion, this new att android phone supports AT&T’s HSPA+ network at 21Mbps,  HDMI mirror mode, Motorola’s Lapdock accessory, and Zumocast and so on great features.

Samsung Captivate Glide-  This is still a high end android smartphone for AT&T, it comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and  a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. ALso the Captivate Glide is equiped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, flash, and 1080p HD video capture, and as well as a 1.3-megapixel user-facing camera. In addtion, this handset has 1GB of RAM, 1GB of internal storage and support for microSD cards up to 32GB. Sadly, it still support AT&T’s HSPA+ network but not the LTE.

Samsung DoubleTime- It is a entry android phone, running Android 2.2 Froyo OS, designed with  a dual-screen design and a flip form factor, powered by a 600MHz processor with 260MB of RAM;. ALso the DoubleTime comes with a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 pixel display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video capture, and voice recognition. It supports microSD cards up to 32GB.


Pantech Pocket-  It should be a mid level android smartphone, equiped with  Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS,  5-megapixel camera with flash and 720p HD video capture , also it is designed with a 4-inch display with 600 x 800 pixels, bundled with 600MB of RAM and 32GB microSD cards. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.


ZTE Avail- It is a new prepaid GoPhone for  AT&T , its features are also wonderful the same as the  Pantech Pocket. The ZTE Avail features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and video capture, 3.5-inch touch display and  Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. Also it has 512MB of RAM and 512MB ROM.

Unfortunately, there is no official words on the release date and prices for any of these phones, AT&T only tells us they will be coming out soon in later 2011.
