HTC Touch Pro2 Hitting AT&T Soon named HTC Fortress
It turns out that the HTC Touch Pro2 is going to hit AT&T soon , and cordnamed the HTC Fortress. Which is much like how the Touch Pro became the HTC Fuze, as the New AT&T Cell phones - HTC Touch Pro2 comes with a nice screen with better聽 prototype keyboard. In addtion, the AT&T HTC Touch Pro2 will feature a 3.2 megapixel AF cam, 3.6-inch WVGA display, WinMo 6.1 AKU6 with full HSPA on three bands, AGPS, Video Share support. But it seems that the HTC Fortress won’t support Wi-Fi, as we haven’t聽 seen any mark on it so far, maybe they are included but just left out on the spec sheet. Ok, let’s bet , we guess it’s most possible will not offer Wi-Fi, then what do you think?

No WiFi??! Seriously doubt that, WiFi is pretty pervasive throughout the HTC phone line - particularly the PDA’s they’ve put out starting back with (at least) the TYTN, if not sooner…
The HTC website confirms other online reviewer specs - WiFi is, in fact, supported with 802.11 b/g:

Connectivity Bluetooth庐 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for wireless stereo headsets
Wi-Fi庐: IEEE 802.11 b/g
HTC ExtUSB鈩 (11-pin mini-USB 2.0, audio jack, and TV Out* in one)
No Wi-Fi no buy.
WiFi or not, we’ll just cook it in later…
Long live XDA!
[...] is an important thing I have to mention, which is I remember that the Htc touch pro2 will head to AT&T renamed as HTC Fortress , but I find other leaked sources also suggested that the AT&T’s version Touch Pro 2 may [...]
are you blind? says support for Converged Services (WiFi) right there on the spec sheet
Don’t know if AT&T will disable Wifi but there’s an internal memo indicating that AT&T will require data plans for all smartphone purchases beginning in September.
no questions asked
I got to see the phone in an AT&T store before it came out and it was amazing… The combo of touch screen and non touch was nice. It has internet and it does have wi-fi and I cannot remember all that she said but in April when I get my phone upgrade Im getting it. I really liked the way it felt and it was not overly huge. its bigger than my phone now but my phone is not as nice.
