How to unlock AT&T lg vu cu920 phone
I ever helped one of my friends to unlock at&t lg vu cu920 phone.Now i share the method to everyone,hope it can help you be out of problems.AT&T Cell phones Answers.
Here is how to unlock the LG CU920 phone,you only need to do following steps.
1.Put a AT&T or Cingular SIM in the phone; it does not have to be an active SIM,then enter *#865625#.
2.Message Displayed: SIM Unlock Process,Select 鈥淥K鈥
3.Select 鈥淯nlock SIM鈥,-Select 鈥淣etwork Unlock鈥-Enter the 16 digit unlock code*-Select 鈥淥K鈥
4.Re-enter the 16 digit unlock code-Select 鈥淥K鈥-Device should say: Network Lock Deactivated
Then your at&t lg vu cu920 is in unlocking.Notice:The 16 digit code used to unlock your phones can be obtained by calling AT&T Technical Support and given the representative the IMEI number,and you can getthe IMEI number through keying in the following: *#06#.

I bought an at&t pay-as-you go phone from walmart for my birthday and was way too small for my taste. I got a SunCom Razr2 from my friend that they previously used on a regular cellphone plan that you pay per month. I put my SIM card in it and it worked perfectly. I am soon flying to New York and I want to purchase the LG VU off Ebay because my Razr2 has a short battery life. My question is, will my same SIM card be compatible? the 16 digit code is always different. if your a att user call them and tell them you need to unlock it they will generate u a code free. if your a non att user you will have to pay 20-25 to get the code off of a website. just search for a code generator on google and you pay and they generate you a code no other way around it

OK, AT&T Tech support will NOT give out the unlock code, of course not why would they? They will tell you that they cannot do it. If you are on here asking us for the codes WE cannot help you. Your best bet is to go to one of the sites online and pay a fee…. As for the guy who keeps responding with a link that leads you back to this page, you are not helping anybody, you are simply giving us the same instructions we all just read, and still need the unlock code….. One last thing, your IMEI number IS not the unlock code, do not enter it in as the unlock code, as it will not work. DO NOT START THE UNLOCK PROCESS SEEN HERE UNTIL YOU HAVE THE DEVICE SPECIFIC UNLOCK CODE, THESE ARE SIMPLY INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO UNLOCK IF YOU HAD THE UNLOCK CODE!!!

Excellent directions, it worked for me. You need to tell the AT&T rep that you need to unlock since you are going out of country and need to use a different provider when you are outside the country.

i just unlocked the phone and tried to use it, with a boost mobile sim card and it did not work. so… can someone explain to me why? i thought i was going to be able to use it with any sim card.

i’ve read through ALL of the posts. whew. funny stuff. unfortunately, we all thought after entering the *#8654…we’d all unlock our phones. not the case. we still need the unlock code. I DON’T HAVE ONE, but i wish i did, because i would post it for all to have for FREE.
for the person who unlocked their phone and inserted a boost mobile sim card, currently boost mobile does not support this phone, but it will very, very soon. keep checking the website and once that blackberry curve phone is on and poppin, it should work.

Actually there is nothing requiring them to give you the code. Especially if you are not a current customer.
While it is not Illegal, it is also not illegal for them to withhold the code. So while sometimes they may give it, sometimes they may not as well.
However, if you do not have service with them you can try to tell them you plan to travel put of country and wish to use another sim card while traveling. Sometimes that works for non-customers to obtain the unlock codes.
For clarification to those asking… Your UNLOCK code is NOT your imei. Your imei number is needed to obtain your code!
Make sure you have a sim card inserted when you attempt to unlock it.
If you are overseas, and giving out your imei number DON’T. THat number can be used to report the phone stolen. I can take that number, say that my phone was stolen, and just like that your phone is now dead.
Your best bet if your overseas is to use an internet unlock service, or call AT&T yourself.

Hey, all you need to do is call AT&T and tell them that you need to unlock your phone because you are traveling outside the US and you will be using a SIM card from … country to avoid roaming charges. That said it took the rep about 15 minutes to give me the code
