    Hi there

Do you know if you can connect the Samsung magnet with a Mac via USB cable?

Also, I’ve read that the Magnet is only bluetooth capable with headsets – not with computers or other devices. Does this mean I can transfer a file from my computer to the Magnet if I have a headset linked up (ie, it uses the headset as a channel)? Or does it literally mean it can only use bluetooth for headsets?

    Thank you!

Of course, you can connect the samsung magnet with a Pc via both Usb cable and Bluetooth. But it seems that its current software is not conpatible with a Mac

I see why AT&T is giving this phone for free now. No matter what PC Studio version I download on my VistaUltimate64, still will not connect or find my phone. All the links posted on this blog are broken and can not find the USB Modem Drivers 4.07 or the USB drivers anywhere. Shouldve just paid the regular $19.99 for the damn cable and software disk in the store, but this phone is NOT worth it.

Thought this would make a great Christmas gift to my future hubby… I feel almost guilty now giving him a phone he can’t use to share photo’s with only cuz we both have macs… and we did get him a cable but it doesn’t work… imagine that. I think Samsung should get with the times and make software for Mac’s as well. I will most likely not get another samsung after this. Should have bit the bullet and gotten him an iphone or something better that can be used on a mac.

This worked perfectly for me. I just received my cable (purchased as part of an 8 piece set) from Ebay for less money than a single cable cost from AT&T. I received the cable, car charger, travel charger, screen protector, ear phones, 2 protective cases, and a contraption for mounting your phone in your vehicle for $15 with Free Shipping. However, I have to have my phone turned off when I plug it into my laptop and the phone. The program will start up but not recognize the SIM. I clicked OK and turned the phone on and the program recognizes the phone and the Icon appears for my phone. The rest of the directions are to a “T”.

PC Studio says “SIM Card has not been inserted,” but I have it in my phone. And it only connects like this when the phone is off.

    Any help?
