How to sync outlook contacts and calendar From AT&T nokia e71x to PC
I find there are some AT&T nokia e71x uers don’t know how to sync outlook contacts and calendar from their phone to PC. Actually, it’s very simple. When you bought the nokia e71x from AT&T, the deals must include a Nokia PC suite(if you don’t have it , go here to download the Nokia Suites). With the Nokia PC Suite , you can Connect your phone to a Windows PC and access your mobile content as if the phone and the PC were one, such as you are able to keep your contacts and calendar up to date on both PC and phone.聽 AT&T Nokia E71X info
When you open the Sync program, create a custom sync and uncheck the Contacts box to remove it from your sync.聽 Save the settings and this will become the default sync. If you want to have a copy of your phone’s Address Book on your computer, just open your Address Book in Nokia PC Suite and there is an option to export it to a file. this was absolutely worthless… no help at all
Is there an option to sync via the phone’s usb cable? The only option that I see in the phone is bluetooth or internet.
The cable can be used. Connect up the cable and start Nokia PC Suite software. The phone will probably ask for a confirmation. The software interface should show the connection status of the phone and lead you through the connection including the use if the cable versus Bluetooth. You can then sync which ever items you desire. It is basically the same process whether your using cable, infrared, or Bluetooth. I’ve used all three with at different times. Sorry for not being exact on the steps, but it has been a while since the last setup.

I was able to download the OVI software suite with no problem. I had to go into the Settings menu to change the Data Cbl (Data Cable) mode to “PC Suite”. It worked just fine from there. I’ve successfully synced my MS Outlook to my Nokia E71x device and I’m happy now. I think the software will also let the user see SMS text messages as threaded discussions. That would be GREAT. I don’t like that Nokia forces the user to toggle back and forth between Sent Box and In Box to kind a figure out what people are responding to you text messaging. If I can figure that out, I will post.
