  • I accidentally typed the wrong number when I pressed and held 1 the first time. Now if I try to press 1 it dials that wrong number. I can’t find a menu option that allows me to change the voice mail number. I have a Samsung Mythic. Any help is appreciated!

  • I can’t understand the voice recording to even set up voice mail. I wish that I could speak Spanish since the English version sounds like someone talking with a mouth full of marbles. I guess the recording that was made in India wasn’t a good idea on AT&T part!

Comment by Tom Derrig — June 2, 2011

  • Every time I “press and hold one”, the voicemail set up prompts me to “press one to hear how to set up your voicemail in english.” I pressed one, and it gives some spanish crap. What the heck is going on here?

  • @Tyna Go into messaging. (where you text from) Go to the voicemail option, or options, or settings. From options or settings, there should be a option that says ‘Voicemail’ click it and you should be able to change your voicemail number.

  • I’m sorry, the help given to set up voicemail on my Z221 cell phone is the worst example of communications I’ve ever experienced. I pressed 1. I’ve dialed my own number. I’ve been asked for a box number (something I’ve never been asked about on any other cell phone. I surrender!!!
