Strange that you had to go through all that trouble when the context menu for mp3 files has a set as ringtone option directly from the file browser

now the trick i want to see is how to make your ringtone play through your BT headset for some reasion the fuze likes to use the headset’s built in ring function rather than just using the audio connection to stream it

i’ve tried putting the file in the windows folder, the ringtone folder, the music folder. i’ve right clicked and chosen ’set as ringtone’ but it never makes it my ringtone and it’s not in the drop down list of available rings. i can listen to it in windows media player so the file is not corrupt. why is this so difficult when it should be so easy.

I have the same problem as Ben. I used to be able to do this before I did the most recent update on my phone. That could be the problem. Is there is a file size or bit rate limit maybe?

On the Fuze the max size for ringtones is 600K and it seems that alert tones work best at 300K max., although I have heard of 400K tones working OK.

Has anyone had luck in putting ringtones back on their phone after updating to the newest ROM? I cannot get my own ringtones no matter what I try. Has anyone figured out what needs to be done? My ringtones are about 450K.
