If you are the Lg phoenix owners for AT&T, I’m glad to notice that recently AT&T finally releases the Android 2.3 Bingerbread update for this device(Lg phoenix should receive the Bingerbread update later last year as scheduled ). Sadly, the update is sent out via the OTA, so you will need to manually download and install the android 2.3 update for your Lg phoenix phones. Of course, dont’t worry, you can easilly get the update via the LG Mobile Support Tool. (You will need a PC).. Just do exactly as the steps below. AT&T Cell phone Software
How to manually get the Android 2.3 Bingerbread update for AT&T Lg phoenix:
Requirements: 1. -Make sure your battery is fully charged up. AT&T Cell Phone Problems and Solutions
2 – Save any important data before updating the software on your device; i.e. contacts, images, etc.
3 – Remove the micro SD memory card.
4 – Close all open applications on your computer before proceeding with the update.
5 – Ensure device “Mass storage only” mode is not selected. Application -> Settings -> SD card & phone storage.
a. Calling and messaging functions are not available during the update process.
b. The entire upgrade process takes 30 minutes depending on internet connection and pc configuration.
c. The handset is automatically reset during this process
1. Download and install the LG United Mobile Driver to a Windows PC [download link]
Note: The LG Mobile Support Tool is not compatible with Mac OS X
2. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable included with yourLg phoenix.
a. Do not tap “Turn on USB storage” on your phone screen.
b. Do not disconnect the USB cable until the update is complete.
c. If you experience errors, check USB connection or try another port.
3. Click ‘Start Updating’ within the LG Mobile Support tool to begin.
a. If your phone software upgrade stops before it has completed, please do not close the update tool and try the update again.
b. The handset is automatically reset during this process.
4. When upgrade is complete, turn on your phone and complete phone setup.
