This was helpful, but I need to know the reverse. How do you set the outgoing text message sent tone to mute and just leave it to vibrate?

Does this just change the message tone for that one contact that you edited? or all of them?

To set the sent message tone to mute: go to settings, sound profile, normal. And under “phone” in the top right hand corner. you have to scroll down next b/c it will only show “keypad tone, power on and off types”. Below that is “phone sound volume”. Set this to zero and it will mute the sent message tone. This took a call to samsung support to figure out! Hope it helps.

When you press “Normal” wait a moment and don’t touch the screen– the drop down and everything will pop up.

Is their a retrieve message option? What does the Lock feature do in the sent text file do? Does it prevent the person receiving message from opening the text?
