  • This was helpful, but I need to know the reverse. How do you set the outgoing text message sent tone to mute and just leave it to vibrate?

  • Does this just change the message tone for that one contact that you edited? or all of them?

  • I did what you said but there is no drop down in the top right corner of my screen when I’m in the sound profile screen. Help!

  • To set the sent message tone to mute: go to settings, sound profile, normal. And under “phone” in the top right hand corner. you have to scroll down next b/c it will only show “keypad tone, power on and off types”. Below that is “phone sound volume”. Set this to zero and it will mute the sent message tone. This took a call to samsung support to figure out! Hope it helps.

  • @Keglo

When you press “Normal” wait a moment and don’t touch the screen– the drop down and everything will pop up.

  • Is their a retrieve message option? What does the Lock feature do in the sent text file do? Does it prevent the person receiving message from opening the text?
