You can lock your AT&T Samsung Propel Pro phone with a password to protect your handset and SIM card from unauthorized use by others.  Just do as the basic steps below:

Note: Even if the phone is locked, you will be able to receive calls

Lock AT&T Samsung Propel Pro cell phone steps:

1. From the Home screen, press the left soft key for Start
2. Press the left soft key for More
3. Select Settings (6)
4. Select Security (7)
5. Select Device Lock (1)
6. Press the OK key to check the box for “Select Prompt if device unused for”
7. Select a time length the phone waits before locking itself when it is not in use, using the navigation keys
8. Highlight Password type and select a password type, using the navigation keys, from the following:
   • Simple PIN: Use a numeric password
   • Strong Alphanumeric: password must be more than 7 characters and contain at least 3 of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, or punctuation marks
9. Enter a password in the Password field, using the Qwerty keypad
10. Re-enter the same password again in the Confirm password field for confirmation
11. Press the left soft key for Done to set the Device Lock feature
12. Press the left soft key for Yes to confirm setting the Device Lock feature

Of course, if you don’t want to lock your phones no longer , you can unlock it through fowllowing steps below:

1. From the Home screen, press the left soft key for Unlock
2. Enter the password, using the Qwerty keypad
3. Press the left soft key for Done to disable the Device Lock feature
