I currently own both phones. The camera is better in the nokia but the samsungs is definitely faster and more easy to use by far. The battery life of both phones is dreadful but functionality wise the they are very similar. one thing i must say is that when it comes to multi-tasking the nokia wins hands down as i have sent e-mails, texts, and picture messages all while having a converation on the phone at the same time. I did love my nokia until this phone came into my life. oh and it does help that you can unlock the samsung and virtually add any additional software to it.

    Nokia
    pros
    -multi-tasking
    -camera
    -actual look of the phone

    cons
-battery life (you will need to purchase extra batteries and carry them with you)
    -slow when accessing programs
-every time i goto my phone book i get a “no contacts” message for about 20 seconds, then all of my contacts magically appear
-battery takes extremely long to charge fully(4-5 hours no lie)
    -speaker phone is very low

    Samsung

    pros
-look and feel of the phone
-keyboard is well spaced out compared to the nokia
-reception is much better. nokia drops calls constantly
-sliding panel makes it much easier to navigate thru phone
-Windows Mobile 6.1 (all of my techies know what this means!!!!)

    Cons
    -no normal headphonejack (very annoying)
    -battery life
-Windows Mobile 6.1 (all of my techies know what this means!!!!)
-no flash on camera (very dissapointing)

Anyone whose has actually used both phones knows that the keyboard on the Nokia is better and less cramped than the Samsung. Just look at them! The E71x is a severely crippled version of the E71: no app download program, tons of bloat-ware, home screen not customizable. I wish there were more ATT PDA phones with 3G and Wi Fi. With that said I’m still trying to figure out which one to get.
