AT&T Samsung Impression user Reviews

The AT&T Samsung Impression is designed to be a messaging phone. For that purpose, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The full qwerty keyboard is easy to use and has great shortcut keys for creating a new message. And its touchscreen responds quickly. In addtion, the impression‘s battery on the otherhand..its not the best thing but the looks and camera quality make up for it. Camera is 3.0 mega and can edit pictures ALOT me and my friend have been having fun with it all day. AT&T Cell phone Reviews

AT&T Samsung Impression photos- AT&T Cell Phone Pictures:

The Impression is priced the same as the iPhone 8GB, and it seems that whoever would buy the Impression for it’s features would be better off just making the jump to the iPhone and the smart phone category as a whole. The full QWERTY keyboard and AMOLED display don’t make enough of a difference in the day to day use of the device to make a stark differentiation between the Impression and the iPhone. $199 is too much for this device, as full-featured, functional, and pleasant to use as it is.

  • this phone seems great;
this would be choice over the xenon because the xenon is so tiny and hard to text with its small buttons
& the screen is amazing i love this phone …i love it, i love it.

  • I have been seeing reviews similar to this one all over the web, and it mystifies me that reviewers can be so clueless when it comes to discussing price. The iPhone is FAR more expensive than the Impression, simply because the iPhone (and any smart phone) requires a $30-per-month data subscription from AT&T, whereas the data subscription for the Impression is only $15 per month. That makes the iPhone $360 more expensive than the Impression, and for heaven’s sake it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out!

If you want GPS, then smart phones will cost an additional $10 per month, making them $480 more expensive over the life of the contract. (GPS is included in the $15 data plan for “feature phones” like the Impression, but is not included in the $30 data plan for smart phones.)

  • I switched from a Pantech Duo, (which I absolutely hated) to a Samsung Impression, and now I actually enjoy text messaging! Even though the Pantech duo had a keyboard and also was able to slide open both up and the keyboard outward like the Impression, and a smartphone with all the internet capabilities, it was very difficult to use! I could not bear to return text messages to anyone, which is the main reason I bought the $400 Pantech Duo! I had it for 6 months, then my contract expired and I was able to get my Impression for $149 and my daughter one to for the buy one get one free special promotion, when we switched to AT&T!! We are both very pleased with our Samsung phones! She had a Pantech Slate previously and it was a piece of junk! The camera in the Impression takes really great pictures also! Hope this helps anyone that is trying to decide on what phone to purchase! For the price the Impression is by far the best, it also works as well as an iphone for internet, and it is much less $$ a month for us compared to if we would have chose the iphones!!

  • this phone can be purchased at the moment through a subsidary of radioshack located inside of Sams Clubs stores (no membership required). Upgrade prices on the phone are $80 bucks, whereas new lines and add-a-lines are only $50. It doesn’t change who you’re bill comes from or anything, they upgrade thru att’s system, but the prices are just way better. this phone is pretty awesome.

  • Most people say we might as well just by an iphone i totally disagree (1) the price for the samsung impression has dropped (2) in my opinion the iphone isn’t all that great (3) my friend had the iphone and she said the phone sucked for not doing what it was supposed to be which is make calls with good quality. I was going to get an iphone but i ended up buying the samsung impression and based off things i’ve heard that was the best desion i’ve made in years.

  • AMAZING PHONE! But, Every 5-8 months the screen goes dead, and you can’t do ANYTHING, so you have to keep getting replacements, I Love the keyboard! and it takes Excellent pictures, and recordings. I would suggest this phone to ANYONE.

  • i loved it at first no i think its a horrible phone i had too reboot it after being on the charger otherwise it wont do anything, freezes, the screen turns pink every now and then, has too be rebooted just too send a text message, there were times were i would get late text messages or phone calls that went straight too voice mail and apparently wont dial AAA’s number idk why that is . dont waste your money on this phone!

    Comment by MARISSA — March 8, 2011

  • Had this phone for a year and then the screen died. I can’t do anything with it except get and make phone calls. Humm, guess that’s the whole purpose of a phone anyhow, huh? Am extremely disappointed.

    Comment by Leanne — March 12, 2011

  • I would like to say, Samsung is lacking in the customer care area. After many attempts, and refurbished phones, to get it to work properly. It still does not! If I switch to a different phone they tell me it would be a flip-phone! If I wanted a Flip-phone I would have bought one! They need to update it. ATT needs to press the issue!

Comment by Harry Craig III — June 6, 2011

  • No one I know that has this phone likes it for very long. It freezes up and you have to take the battery out all the time just to send text messages. The touch screen goes out after about a year or less, I have never had more problems with a phone than this one, It’s horrible. AT&T needs to do something about anyone who bought this phone, dropped calls have always been a problem also.

Comment by Karen McGuire — June 14, 2011

  • Was a great phone up till it hit it’s first year. After the first year it has been nothing but trouble. The phone screen some times freezes so you have to pull the battery out because it won’t turn off either. The texting won’t go through so you have to restart it. Also the key board start glitching and it keeps putting in periods and extra letters when I type. And now into the second year the part where you hear people talk broke. Buh. But it does take pretty good pictures. The texting WAS nice.

    Comment by Stephanie — August 26, 2011

  • Hi Karen I agree with you hundred percent,
i wouldn’t recommend this ph to anyone,
i got it 3 months ago the touch screen has stopped working, it is kind of a shock to me and I know as you said the screen goes black more often you have to turn it off and on to make it work. IT has problem with sending texts and it freezes up most of the time, it is a horrible ph i must say. signals goes off, drop calls, what the heck this ph is made for and on the top it is way too expensive :(
