I have the Solstice and everything you say works on it. The problem comes with TK File Explorer. I, as with others, cannot seem to get it to come up with a port for the phone. Setting screen for port is blank. Any ideas or fixes?

i had the same issue. you have to go to the samsung website and download the drivers so your computer can recognize that a phone is plugged in. i also downloaded samsung pc studio but i don’t think its needed. hope that helps because i was frustrated all to hell when i couldn’t do what the instructions said

Thanks Eddie for the info. Can you tell me which drivers you downloaded? I had tried that once and could not seem to get it to work, but I may have had the wrong ones.

eddie, pc studio is not needed at all. and tom, i had the same problem and what i did is just type COM1, if that doesn’t work do COM2, if that doesn’t work then try COM3, and so on… just keep scrolling with the numbers. that’s what i did and i found out for me it was COM5.

I couldn’t see any COM ports, so I tried manually typing them in from COM0 to COM10, nothing works. Both in Windows XP and Windows 7 (x32). I wish Samsung had made their software better. It is really crap like someone else mentioned in another thread.

I have tried this twice, using bluetooth to upload the file as I do not have a PC. Both times it did not work. How can I get this phone to work with a mac?
