AT&T Samsung Eternity- Reset the Forgotten Password
What can I do? I have forgotten the password for AT&T聽 samsung eternity, but I don’t know how to reset it. Ok, if you have this problem, don’t worry! it’s easy. Following the basic steps below, then you’ll be out of problem soon. AT&T Samsung Eternity info
Reset Settings for samsung eternity phone
NOTE: A “reset” changes the phone’s settings back to default. This process does not erase contacts or downloaded content (ringtones, games, graphics, etc.)
1. From the standyby screen, tap Menu.
2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
3. Scroll to and select Reset Settings.
4.Scroll to and check the desired option(s), then tap Reset.
5.Enter the Samsung Eternity‘s password, then tap Confirm.
NOTE: The password is user-defined; there is no default. If a password has yet to be established, the samsung eternity phone will prompt for a new password to be entered and then confirmed. AT&T cannot retrieve this password if forgotten. AT&T cell phone Questions&Answers
6. Tap Yes to confirm.
7. A confirmation message wll display and the Samsung Eternity will then reboot.

do u realize it says type in the samsungs pw yet thats wat u need help on changing. u dont know the passwor so how can u type it in??

ok so if i dont remember the password at all i basically have to throw the phone away and buy another one? (sounds like some bull@#$% to me)

This will delete everything from phone, so back everything up to computer and sim card. Then follow these steps.
A hard reset will clear everything out of the phone and reset your password. To perform a hard reset on a samsung take out the battery and removve the sim card and power on the phone. when it comes back on dial *2767*3855#. The phone will go thourgh a reset process and when it comes back on take the battery out again and put your sim card back in and power on. It should be completely cleared including the security password.

What if my phone locks and asks for the lock code which I couldn’t recall?
i have purchased a samsung eternity , and i forgotten the passcode for the phone, now when i power the phone it asks for the passcode and i have no idea what it. and i called at&t and even the phone company, they gave me passcodes but nun worked. so i was wondering if it was a HARD RESET that i could do myself by pressing any buttons? its a 4-8 digit passcode . can someone please help me?

Your secret code worked. The reset process only took a few seconds. After I replaced the SIM and powered the phone back on, I was able to reset the phone password.
Still don’t know what a PIN or PIN2 code is. :-S

I don’t understand the folks who said it worked for them because the phone lock screen:
1) will only accept 8 characters MAX
2) does not recognize or support the “#” character.
So that puts doubt in my mind about all of the “Wow, it worked great for me” responses. Meanwhile, does anyone have a REAL SOLUTION as to how to unlock (or reset) a Samsung Eternity if you’ve forgotten the password?

Do you mean the screen lock serect, or the Pin code?
Try to format the Hardware of your phone, if this doesn’t work, I think you have to flash it.
