Turn on/off 3G On a Samsung Blackjack i607 steps:
1.Ensure that the unit is on the main/start page and unlocked. To be sure, you may tap the red ‘end call’ key a few times to back out of any programs (i.e., contact list, media player) you are in.
2.Enter the following exactly: *#1546792*# Notes: a list will appear on your screen automatically. You do NOT need to press any keys other than those listed above.
3.The following menu (or something close) will appear: 1. Auto Answer 2. Power on Attach 3. Service Domain 4. Network Order 5. NETWORK MODE Simply press the number ‘5′ on your keyboard or scroll down and select NETWORK MODE.

5.The following options will appear: Auto GSM WCDMA To turn ON 3G: Select AUTO If there is no 3G service in the area, the phone will also automatically revert to standard GSM or WCDMA, whichever is available) To turn OFF 3G: Select GSM Don’t bother with WCDMA; it is old technology and you will likely not receive good service, if any).
6.When you are finished, click DONE. Then click the red ‘END CALL’ key to close the menu.

after you enter that first code, go to the selection that said Internal. It should ask you for another code. enter *#81230*# and you’ll get more options - one to reset, the 3 options for different types of resets. make sure to back up data and contacts before you do this.
