AT&T rolls out Shared Data Plans for its smartphones, available in Late August

It’s not the first time to heard the  Shared Data Plans for AT&T, at the end of May, it was exposed that AT&T will also lanuch the shared data plans following the Verizon wireless in 2012. There is no an specfic date, but we know it should be not a long time. As expected today AT&T really introduced the Shared Data Plans for its Window phone smartphones and other smartphones, however, the new plan doesn’t start at once, it will be available untill Late August.

AT&T Shared Data Plans can work with smartphones, tablets, feature phones, laptop dongles, laptops, and mobile hotspots and so on 10 hotspot devices, but at least one device must be a smartphone , meanwhile the plans  including unlimited voice minutes and messaging, and offer varying data options. The expenses standard of AT&T  Shared Data Plans ranges from 1gb to 20gb with monthly fees as high as $200 plus $30 per smartphone.Of course, when your monthly data fee is over and it’ll cost you an extra $15 per GB.
In addtion, AT&T told us  it current device upgrade policy won’t be changed, and said  customers didn’t have to switch to a shared data plan or pay full price for the device when they upgrade..  Existing individual and family plans will still remain available for AT&T customers as well.
