if i dont want one of the att phones for free and i want the refurb iphone can i get it on discount?
of course, you can
I bought my granddaughter the quickfire phone and it does not charge properly so when I called the AT&T store the guy told me that I should have gotten a recall letter from AT&T for the phone and he gave me a number to warranty exchange. He said that by calling this number I would be sent a new phone because they do not repair the quickfire phones anymore, because they do not receive parts for the phone. But after reading your site it says that there was no such recall. However, I did notice that the phone does have a problem with charging and may explode. My granddaughter’s phone will not completely charge and gets hot even when plugged with the arrow in the correct position. I paid too much for this phone to be having problems like this in less than a year. I need to have this phone fixed or replaced ASAP. If anything happens to my granddaughter concerning this phone I will seek both criminal and civil actions against your company.
A friend of mine has a quickfire and there is nothing wrong with it. When you put the charger in upside down your phone immediately blacks out. It doesnt delete your memory or anything like that. All you have to do is take it out, turn it back on, and plug it up the correct way. They are quality but expensive phones. Whats the big deal?
so, a couple of days ago, my quickfire fell into my bathtub, which was filled with water. i immediately took the battery out and let it dry for two days. the phone will turn on but, i don’t have service, the touch screen doesn’t work and some of the keys are not responsive. if i take it to an at&t store, will they be able to fix it?
Of course, they will fix it for you. But I don’t make sure that will able to get it fixed
I take extreme care of my phone and have never dropped it or anything to hurt it. In the past few days my quickfire has been having alot of problems. I have had to pull the battery out twice to shut it off because it has completely frozen, I had a two hour period in which my phone said it has signal but was not receiving or taking calls or texts and had to be shutdown. and while shutting down it wouldnt start back up properly it was freezing. The touch screen has been very finicky lately and not responsive. I have heard about getting replacements for it but they are propels or another option i believe??? and i have looked at both models and they are barely half of what i paid for this one. I like this phone but would like to get it exchanged if this is going to continue. Are the propel and the other my only options? and will i be compensated at all for the drop in price? Whats the closest thing to the quickfire thats available…i hear the Vu is good, is that an option?
Yes, It sure is
I do have problems with my quickfire.I have to touch the screen like three times before it moves to what I want. I don’t get texts or phone calls when I am suppose to. The battery is extremely hot when it is charging. The screen goes blank when it wants to and comes back on. I would like to know what phone can replace this phone but I paid a lot of money for this phone so I would like something similar to it. Will you ATT replace it?
I think the lg xenon or the samsung impression is good chance.

My quickfire was working fine and then just shut off all the sudden and won’t turn back on. It’s not dead because it doesn’t even turn on when I plug it in to charge…. How do I take the back off to access the battery? It won’t come off
i have a quickfire as well. I have no idea whats wrong with it and from what i have read the problem i am having with my phone is the same as many. The touchscreen is very unresponsive and i have to touch it many times before it does something. I charged it all night and when i took off the charger it was low on battery. It freezes an awful lot as well and often times requires the phone to be shut off to unfreeze the phone. It also runs really hot even when the charger is plugged in properly (i never plug it in the wrong way). I looked at the samsung impression and i like it alot. It reminds me of the quickfire. If anything I would like to have that phone as a replacement for my quickfire but i don’t want it to be counted as an upgradee or have to pay full price for att putting out a falty phone. How should i go about getting the impression?
But you have used the quickfire phone for a long time. So I think there is no possible to replace it with new samsung ippression. You have to upgrae it.
I have had my quickfire for about three months, and just recently my screen cracked. I have the one year warranty for it. What are the phones I have to choose from are now that the quickfire is not being sold anymore?
Yes, AT&T has stopped to sell the quickfire phone. If your phone is still under guarantee, you can go to AT&T store to repair it for free.
I have the quickfire and I for the most part really like the phone except for the touch screen doesn’t work the greatest once the battery starts going dead. I have no trouble with it charging but once I lose even one bar off the battery the touch screen starts being difficult.
I heard of a recall on the quickfire which took place in march. It is now almost end of April and I have never received any letter to tell me of a recall. I have used the charger properly and have encountered no problems. Would I still need to return it for another phone? I have noticed some things happen as others have mentioned. The screen blacks out then turns back on by itself. I really enjoy this phone very much and hope that if it needs to be replaced that I am compensated with a similar phone and similar in price. I will absolutely not accept trading in a $200 phone for a $50 one. Come on At&t you can do better than that to satisfy the customer.
i just wanted to no if they would send out another phone that is not freezing and not gettin hott when its charging so i was just wondering if they would fix outr send out another new quickfire or a new different phone our somthhin
no, it seems that at&t hasn’t tooken measures to solove this problem
i hate my at&t quickfire. i got it in january and when i plug it in to charge it gets hott so i unplug it. it doesn’t hold a charge. when i go to touch the screen i have to touch it like four times to get it to work. also sometimes it doesn’t receive texts until an hour after the person sent them. could i possibly get a blackberry pearl for a replacement? and maybe pay the difference that they won’t cover?
i have the att quickfire….but i am no longer an att customer i switched to centennial and my touchscreen is nonresponsive and i get text late…is there anyway att will still take that phone back or repair it
I think you can’t.
i hate my at&t quickfire. i got it in january and when i plug it in to charge it gets hott so i unplug it. it doesn鈥檛 hold a charge. when i go to touch the screen i have to touch it like four times to get it to work. also sometimes it doesn鈥檛 receive texts until an hour after the person sent them. could i possibly get a blackberry pearl for a replacement? and maybe pay the difference that they won鈥檛 cover?
My at&t quickfire has not been working. On may 12th it will make it 4 months that i had this phone. its not turning on. When my cousin turned it off before that it had a white screen then when i tried to turn it back on it wasn’t working. i tried to charge it but that didnt work. will i be able to get LG incite as a replacement? Or can i fix that one?
I think you are not able to get the lg incite as replacement. As your phone is not under guarantee. You have to fix it or change one new AT&T cell phone
thank you
so when you say change it you mean i can pick the phone i want or they give me a phone they want to give me?
you can pick the phone you want , but you have to pay for it with new plan
ohhhh. i dont think my father is gonna do that
I got the quickfire back in november. I want to trade it in because I dont like all of the problems with it. Would I be able to get the pearl if I pay the difference.
You can, but you need to get new plan
my quickfire was never damaged, dropped, or exposed to water. just recently one day the screen turned, and stayed white. how do i fix this, or get a refund?
my quickfire was never damaged, dropped, or exposed to water. just recently one day the screen turned, and stayed white. how do i fix this, or get a refund? i can still recieve calls, but not make tthem or do anything else that requires a screen.
that happend to mine before it got wet it went all white the screen idk what im gonna do
today i got a new charger but the phone STILL doesn’t work
Dear AT&T over the years we have spent thousands of dollars with you. We now have 4 phones on our plan. We purchased a Quick-fire for our son and have experienced most of the same problems as these other customers. If its such a great Phone why did you discontinue selling it . This phone obviously didn”t have enough testing in the R & D stages . In my opinion this phone is garbage. your company told us how great it was. A few months later it is un-useable. My son takes very good care of his electronics. WHEN IS YOUR COMPANY GOING TO GET HONEST WITH US?????? BUY THE PHONES BACK!!!!! TRADE IN DEALS!!!!! DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS BESIDES SIDESTEP ALL THE ISSUES!!!!!
Yes, I got the New charger for the Quick-fire THAT STILL DOESNT WORK !!!!!
i know right ugh but today i’m gonna get it fixed
I’ve had the AT&T Quickfire for about eight to nine months now, and I can honestly say, I like it. Even though I have problems with it here and there, every phone has some problems that go on and it’s something you just accept over the years. Before I had the Quickfire, I had the Pantech Duo, and let me tell you, THAT was a bad phone. Not only did it have glitches every time i selected a program, but it ran slowly, the screen took forever to switch sides when I pulled out the keyboard, the keyboard was slow, and it would shut off on me randomly. With the Quickfire, I’m definitely experiencing some of the same problems all you guys are going through as well - the touch screen and it’s non responsive issues. Usually, when I go to press a program, it either just doesn’t respond, even if I press it like eight times, or it takes a long time to respond. When I press the message key on the home screen, I have to press it like four times for it to come up. Not lying - but, the phone itself is pretty fast, when I click it and it wants to work - it works, and it doesn’t even take a second to open up, it’ll immediatley open up. Another problem I have, is my media, like my pictures, take forever to come up and load to the screen. My charger is fine, my phone has heated up on me once or twice, but never like the way other people see it; and never in such a way like i couldn’t touch it. However, I do agree that AT&T should reimburse everyone’s money that they paid for this phone, because this phone isn’t cheap - and we did pay a lot of money for it, and if they’ve decided to stop selling it, that’s ridiculous. We should at least be given an option to get a new phone half off, or something. I’ve gone through so many problems and conflicts with AT&T, that I’m not even surprised this happened. Everyone just switch to Verizon, AT&T has failed, yet, again.
I have had the quickfire since Jan. and I haven’t experienced any problems with it. The touchscreen works perfectly, the charger doesn’t over heat the phone.. but i do have one concern. When i talk on the phone for up to 10-15 minutes, the screen starts to heat up. It gets so hot to the point that my ear starts to get very irritated so i have to set it down. I consider this dangerous and a fire hazard. It has nothing to do with the new charger but I would like to be able to talk on my phone while being safe. Even though i don’t have warranty, and i have had this phone for over a month, will i be able to come in and exchange it for a new phone? Possibly the same price that i bought the Quickfire for?
Well, I think you can’t get a new phone at the same price that i bought the Quickfire for
Gawd, MY TOUCH SCREEN WON’T WORK AND I ALWAYS CHARGED IT RIGHT!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING? HOW AM I GOING TO FIX THIS, I KINDA NEED A PHONE???
whats the name of the phone they send when you send the quickfire back?
I bought the quickfire in december and at first loved it. Then over the past months, it has been horrible. The touchscreen in REALLY unresponsive, and my phone freezes a whole lot. I recently went to florida and went into an at&t store and the woman in the store said if I was still in my two year warranty I could replace the phone for a better phone like the lg xenon (which i really want.) I have been reading all these message boards on how you can’t get a different phone than the quickfire for the replacement. I really would NOT like the quickfire phone as a replacement. It has been the worst phone I have ever used and will NOT be accepting it as my replacement phone. At&t has to give the people with deffective quickfires a much better phone.
I bought this phone Dec. 1. I went into the store to get a car charger last week and was told that I could no longer purchase one. When I explained that the phone will only hold a charge for 12 hours they put me on the phone with the warranty dept. They had to search to see if they could find a replacement battery and finally got a hold of one. They sent that and still the same problem. I called today and told them and now they are going to send me another stinkin’ quickfire. I mentioned on the phone that it freezes up and they didn’t say a word. Why wasn’t something sent saying that the phones have been discontinued due to defects. I can see if it is because they upgraded the model, but this is rediculous. I have a 6 year old diabetic daughter and I HAVE to be able to depend on my phone working properly in case there is a problem!
i have a quickfire phone and the charger do not work and AT&T said the cant fixed it and i went to all of them and they said no and i cant even take it to the company cause i cant find adresses and it’s awful becaues now my phone is dead please help me fast!!!!!!!!!!11
Ok i have the AT&T Quickfire and ive only had it for a little while and i have the warranty. At first it worked fine but just recently it started messing up and being retarded. Sometimes my messages delete and the touch screen can be realy slow. My phone always gets really hot when its on the charger and at random times the phone shuts off (even wen the battery isnt low). Will i be able to turn in my phone and get the Xenon for exchange without having to pay full price?
my quick fire has been acting up lately such as , txt msgs late, non responsive touch screen at times and random restarting any new for a replacement ?
the samsung impression may be a good choice
i have a quickfire are they giving us a diff phone?
Hi I got the quick fire for christmas and it recently just stopped working I called AT&T and they said they will send me a new phone with similar qualities which phone will they send me??
the pantech plate or samsung magnet
Hi I got the quick fire for christmas and I recentlygot pushed in a pool with the phone in my pocket, but I called AT&T and they said they will send me a new phone with similar qualities which phone will they send me??
maybe the samsung magnet or pantech slate
but they sent me another f”@&!ng quickfire I’m so pissed off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been having problems with the touch screen on my quickfire. i recieved a letter about the recall on the charger but i didnt know they were recalling the actual phone. is it true if i bring my quickfire in, they will give me another phone?
yest, the pantech slate or the samsung jack, or other entry-level model
I have a Quickfire and I paid alot for it. But it has a fuzzy screen and will not work the store i went to said to call warranty dept. so i did and they are sending me another quickfire! I believe this phone is having alot of problems and sending me another one isn’t going to make it any better. I would like a different phone like the LG Xenon. Will at&t replace this quickfire with the LG Xenon? That Quickfire was alot of money for me to get some cheap free phone.
My phone is now showing nothing but a white screen and won’t turn on.
I really did like this phone, but its laggy and the sensitivity for the touch features aren’t very sensitive at all.
its a phone with potential, but not much else.
AT&T won’t replace your quickfire phone with lg xenon, maybe the pantech or samsung magnet
Yeah phones that cost less than My quickfire. At&t won’t last very long with these phones getting messed up and then sending us cheap fones that even cost less! Yeah i don’t think so. This sounds like a scam 2 me….
I also purchased the new hottest phone out there for my daughter’s 13th birthday, spending over $250.00 only 4 months ago and am on hold now with AT&T warranty department. They are adamant that all they can do is exchange this phone with another QuickFire (which as everyone knows they are no longer allowed to sell as of 2-23-09). Her reason has been nothing more then their system won’t allow them to override the replacement phone model.
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen from a company that is supposed to be so beyond the years with technology. I have been with AT&T for many, many years with multiple lines and there is absolutely nothing they are willing to do for me.
I bought my Quickfire in the begining of December. A friend of mine told me about the recal but I never recieved a letter or notification as many said they did. My phone was still working fine so I disregaurded it as a rumor. But just with in the last few weeks, my phone has started to go crazy! the screen is fuzzy and will start preforming actions without me touching the buttons. I can’t use it at all! I loved my quickfire, is there anyway to repair it or get a new one? If not, what are the phone that I can trade for?
I think you need to get a new one.
So I can still trade it in for a new quickfire?
IS the quick fire a good phone because its THE ONLY PHONE i like from At&T what should i do i hear its coming back!!is it better and fixed i want it!!:d
I think you can
I don’t know, because i don’t get it again. But I hope who now has bought it can tell us your views
hey, i bought my quickfire around december of 08, and up until a few months ago, it was working fine. the touch screen started having problems, and after a while it was completely unresponsive. i called the att warranty phone number (1-800-801-1101) and they said that they have a special department for dealing with the quickfire, since it has so many problems. since there was no way to fix it, they shipped me a new quickfire, which just recently, stopped charging on me. so i called them again and they said they could exchange my quickfire for an lg xenon, but it was a one time courtesy thing because they were out of the full kit quickfires. but i would suggest not wasting your money on it, for the time i had it it worked great, but it just gave me way too many problems.
when in doubt, just call that warranty number. they’ll most likely ship you a brand new quickfire.
Okay so we just bought this phone today (it should be coming on like Friday).
This whole deal with the catching on fire, has it been fixed since they took it off the market and put it back on? I want to know if i can trust this thing to charge without burning my house down!
you can try to experience it for a time, later if you find big issues on it, go to change it with other model
I’m having problems reading messages, when i tried going to inbox, the quick fire shut down!, tried to upgrade software and said: “communication failed” any suggestions?
I hate my quickfire! I got it in November and this is already my second one. The first one I had the touch screen completely stopped working in March. Now on my second one the screen is going blank and won’t come back. I can recieve calls but I cant see who is calling me! I haven’t dropped it or damaged it any. I don’t know what else to do!
please respond!!!!!! i can’t read my messages, tried taking off battery, change sims card to another phone but there messages did not showing! what i can do????
this phone is driving me up a wall the touch screen selects whatever it wants, it freezes all the time, it rings when it feels like it, it sets random alarms for itself and i get text messages hours after they’ve been sent the qwerty board has sticky keys and when i went to buy a car charger cuz the battery is always dying they tell me it got recalled. now i know about the charger being recalled but i didnt receive anything about the phone itself and when i called the manufacturer they told me nothing was wrong with it, so i went back to another at&t store and they told me it was recalled again so now theyre just giving me the run-around im paying for insurance for the phone but no one wants to fix the problem!
TIRED AND FED UP WITH THIS BULLSHIT…. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE PHONE HAS BEEN REPLACE,,,, OR ANYTHING DONE FOR THIS SITUATION…..
My friend has gotten one new quickfire phone, she says it feels good.
Well I just talked to the warranty place earlier and I am having an impression sent to me because u complained a real lot and went to extremes buy my issues with the quickfire were mild then slowly got worsse and now it doesn’t even work unless it’s in the charged and when I take it off it instantly shuts off and right beforethis the phone would shutoff randomly then wouldn’t turn on without the charger. This phone is basically one of the worst phones ever and AT&T needs to ddo more then just send a new piece of shit to others the xenon should be the minimum trade in phone or maybe the neon
i got the quickfire for christmas and it’s worked great up until recently! we thought my charger was messed up so we bought a car charger and it doesn’t work and we have another regular charger coming, but my quickfire won’t even turn on. with the one year warranty on it is there anyway i can get a completely different phone?
You can repare it for free, but you can’t one different
What kind of incoherent garbage is this?????
What kind of response is ‘ “I think you can” ‘

I don鈥檛 know, because i don鈥檛 get it again. But I hope who now has bought it can tell us your views
quickfire user
I wanted to get the quickfire very badly for about 3 months. And then i come into the ATT store. And they dont have it. I was very upset. So i got the Samsong Eternity. I believe. Is their any way that I can get another phone like the Quickfire for the same price i paid for the Eternity?
The samsung jack is a good choice, but it’s not like the att quickfire phone
I have been an AT & T coustomer for a very long time. I bought this phone for my son in Nov. and he has experienced every single one of these problems listed…not holding a charge, slow touch screen to now, NO touch screen. This phone goes from not being sold in stores in Feb. to now being ‘on sale’ for $29!! Are you kidding me? Why aren’t we given some sort of rebate? What are the choices for replacement phones?
i have had the quickfire since the week it came out. i am now on my fourth phone one, and im fed up. i had my parents call this time to complain, and they offered me a vu or a xexon. i dont really want either phone. id just like to have a credit to my account. i have always loved att but i cant believe they would sell this horrible phone, knowing that it isnt working properly, and not refund or credit my account and let me get a phone i would like. when my contract ends i will not be renewing to att.
My quickfire dosn’t over heat usually but whenever I’m talking on the phone while it is charging, it gets really hott and it turns off! I hate this phone! Can I get a new one or get it replaced?
while it is charging you should turn off it, and you have better not talk on it
my quickfire’s touchscreen is horibble. its really slow, and sometimes the touchscreen wont work at all, i get messages way after i should. it gets really hot when its playing music, it wont hold a charge for much more than 2 hours. and it has this thing pop up and it says “smartchip not alllowed” what smartchip???? i havent done anything to the phone. so is there anyway u all can replace this phone with another, or give me my money back.
last night my quickfire stopped taking charge and completely blacked out. so then i went to the store and they dont sell them anymore
so my dad called 611 and this really nice guy is sending me the LG Xenon for in place of my quickfire.
my quickfire was very slow and the touch screen wouldnt work right.
i cant wait for my new phone!
Is this for real??? Am I really reading responses from an AT&T CELL PHONE person?? These are not real answers and I am reading a lot of crap that dances around actual answers. Can no one give a straight or direct answer, in coherant English?
AT&T won’t give your money back. if it is still under the Warranty, you can replace it
I was laying down in my bed texting and my screen when white on my Quickfire. I didn’t buy it from the store i got it off of Ebay. will they replace it?
what phones do i have to choose from to replace it?
Maybe The samsung jack or pantech slate
If you buy it from AT&T official stores, you’ll get a replace
My daughter has a quick fire cell phone and was experiencing problems with the phone holding a charge and the screen going black. We contacted the warranty department and was told that they would send us a refurbished phone. When the refurbished phone arrived, we had to return our old phone to AT&T in the same box. About a week later, we received a letter from AT&T stating our account would be charged $210.00 for the refurbished phone they sent us because they had determined that the phone had a broken display, LCD or Lens. There was NOTHING visibly wrong with this phone! In fact, we took it to a local AT&T dealer and had the phone assessed before returning it. We paid less for the original phone and it was brand new! We are now being told that we can’t return the refurbished phone. This is a bogus attempt at AT&T not taking responsibility for a product that obvioulsy has numerous problems. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
OMG! Are you cheated? I don’t never heard this problem
Okay I recently got my phone a lil wet and the keyboard goes insane everytime I try to type it kepts putting qwertyuiop. Im really starting to hate this phone. So what do I do?
Yes I got my quickfire last wk at 7/20.. so far it has been only a wk but i already have experienced some of the problems listed here:
1/ the touch screen is not very sensitive; many times i need to touch 3 or 4 times to get where i want it to go..
2/ I don’t think it gets hot while being charged, but it DOES when I am on the phone for about 20 to 30 minutes…
In addition the bluetooth of this phone is very.. well… ridiculous.. its not like the bluetooth of the other phones i have had… and the USB cable too.. very complex and requires a lot of spending on accessories…
So what I do is im gonna give it some more time to see if there is any problems coming up… and btw honestly i really like the design of this phone.. it looks gorgeous, and i think its one of the main reasons why we choose it in the first place…
Wow, I can’t believe how many people are having problems with the Quickfire. I have had it since it came out and have experienced alot of the same problems with this phone. My 2 biggest complaints is the charger doesn’t stay in the phone. It always leans a bit to one side and keeps coming out just enough for it to not sense it is there. Frustrating to have to keep finger on it or set it just right so it will continue to charge. Then there are times that it charges ALL Night long and it is still on ONE BAR in the morning. So, new charger, old charger they don’t work correctly at all!!!
My other complaint is the touch screen is not always receptive. Sometimes it responds to the wrong function too. Like it asks if I want to save or delete and I hit yes and sometimes it responds to the “no” function! Then sometimes I am trying to get into the messaging to text and it will connect to the internet instead! So, what I am saying is you can touch one function and another function completely away from where you touched will respond instead. THEN, I get charged for connecting when I didn’t want to in the first place!
Oh, and sometimes the speakerphone isn’t very loud either. That can be frustrating, but MOST phones are like that, so, that is nothing new.
All in all though, I LOVE MY QUICKFIRE and I actually wanted to get my fiance’ one because he is up for a new phone and wants a qwerty and I really do like the Quickfire. Just wish it would work properly all the time. It does overheat when talking sometimes though too. Now, I am worried that it will stop working altogether like so many of yours has. I don’t want to all of a sudden have no phone! I don’t have a landline, this is the only phone I have! Now I am reading about white screens??? Yikes! I don’t know what I would do!
We paid ALOT of money for these phones AT&T and if they are malfunctioning or have been discontinued/recalled, why weren’t we notified??? Soooo unprofessional, uncaring and disrespectful to your customers!
Can anyone say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?????????
Maybe that is what needs to happen with this. This is ridiculous! If I need to exchange my phone for any of these serious problems, I expect to get a phone of EQUAL price and value!!! NOT half price or refurbished!
Wow, I am floored at the woman who was sent a refurbished phone and now they are wanting her to PAY over $200 for the refurb?!?!?!? YIKES! What is AT&T thinking??? Seriously, this is just WRONG!
I see class action written all over this one!
I am SHOCKED to hear that the phone has been recalled and actually taken off the market!!! I
my touch screen dont work, is there any other way to delete my messages?
use the hard keypad
I have had the quickfire since middle of jan it worked fine for lets say a month. and ever since the recall i have been experiencing poping out keys non responsive touchscreen, shutting down automattically, over heating to a point where i cant use it. deleting contacts, takes forever for pics to load, NOW AT&T JUST LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER IN DECEMBER BECAUSE IM SO SICK OF THIS BUT I NEED A PHONE IM IN TRACK, SOCCER CHEERLEADING, AND BALLET AND THESE PROBLEMS ARE GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY LIFE i want a replacement phone or i will start pressing charges asap at&t has failed us again

i jus got my quickfire aug 3rd from at&t off te internet it came from the at&t store n i love but..it don stay charged long the screen is hard to toch i have to touch it 5 times and the bluetooth don work! do i tak it back to at&t i mean i jus got this phone a week ago it should not be already messed up rite..will they give me another quickfire or a different phone plz answer asap

i bought a blackjack 2 off of ebay. it wont charge and freezes all the time. what should i do?
of course return it.
I used to have the lg shine and had no problems with it. The quickfire had problems from day one. I got a car charger, but the phone thinks its a usb and wont charge. The screen takes FOREVER to work and my music and photos never load. We called customer service and they said the phone was fine. I paid $240 for a phone that doesnt work and they offer you a cheap one. HELP!
well, if so, you had better change one
I’ve had the quickfire for about 8 months and, at first I had no trouble with it. Then, a couple of months ago, the touchscreen began to give me problems. Now, there are times when the screen just seems to lock up completely and no matter what I do, the touchscreen won’t work. Also, sometimes, when I try to send messages and go to select the send button, the delete button (on the OPPOSITE side of the screen!) decides to get selected instead. It’s been driving me crazy! But because I’ve had the phone for so long, can I still return it or something? I just really don’t want to deal with it anymore
We have two of them and the touch screen is terrible on both. In August, we had one unit replaced and already the screen is not responsive. I’d quit the touchscreen completely and just navigate with the keypad but you can’t get to all the options with the keypad, or atleast I haven’tfigured out how to. Not happy with the Quickfire and the way AT&T is handling the situation. Planning to look elsewhere.
I purchased a quickfire a 9 months ago and now the touchscreen is unresponsive. Who do I contact to have the warranty replacement?
It seems that you have over the warranty date. You can’t replace it now, an dyou have to change a new one
Is there any way to fix your quickfires touch screen?
Well i purchased my Quickfire late July and i am now experiencing a problem where the screen goes white with even a bit of pressure. I cant even slide it open without experiencing this problem. What will they send me in place of my quickfire?
If your are still under warranty period, you can replace one, AT&T may replace it with pantech slate or samsung jack
What’s the problem with your quickfires touch screen/
How long exactly is the warranty period?
umm.. my phone is the lg xenon and it turns off all the time just when ever it wants to and it mainly happens when i slide it up and it freezes all the time alot when i am recieving a text message or it says sending and it will freeze up and i will have to take the sim card out and turn it back on
New>Authorized AT&T Channel>31 to 365 days from purchase date
Refurbished>Authorized AT&T Channel>31 to 90 days from purchase date
Replacement>Previous warranty claim>90 days from replacement date or the remainder of original warranty period (whichever is longer)
Replacement>Previous insurance claim>31 to 365 days from replacement date
Ok so i got my mom to call in, she had to fight with them for an hour but they are gonna send a pantech matrix. It seems like a good reliable substitution im pretty excited that i dont have to deal with the sluggishness of the quickfire
umm its is september 16th, and iv wanted the qucikfire foreverrrrr, finally im getting it today, but why would they still be selling it if all these problems are happing to it? should i send it back to get a new one, or are the new ones better?
Well, now that you have gotten it, why send it back. You should use it for a time, then make a decision
I have had the Quickfire since December, i have replaced it one time already. I received the new charger but never got an email about the recall. My charger is now not charging my phone and I always have trouble with the touch screen. AT&T is sending me another Quickfire, but I just thought about the recall, can i still exchange this for the Propel?
I think you can, but you have to discuss with AT&T

Last December (after Christmas), I purchased the Quick-fire for the full $300 price, because I have a pay as you go plan. Recently, the phone has been turning off and on whenever it feels the need. What are my options? Can I trade it in for a newer, cheaper phone, and get the rest of my money back?
i want to get the quick fire should i
i have an old phone and idk the name of it and it keeps shutting off all the time and i even swicthed phones and it still shuts off coul it be my simcard
I spent about $200 for my quickfire back in February. I am beginning to notice many issues: poor touch screen, overheating, etc. I saw that you would replace the phone with another model, but the models offered are about $20! that’s a $180 difference we have to pay for an error in production, does that really seem fair?
My quickfire, which I got in Feb. is having issues, could I trade it in for the LG neon, LG vu, or samsung solstice (all of lesser value)?
But you are replacing it after all
I think you can’t, but you can upgrade it
THIS FONE SUCKS I WANT A NEW ONE
I receive a quickfire phone as a gift should I return it and will AT&T replace it?
ech, if you like it, why replace it
I just bought a quickfire a couple of weeks ago and the phone is already messing up. My touch screen isnt working properly and the phone doesnt quit ringing when you hit to ignore a text message.
I have lost the receipt so i cant take it back to the store and i can’t upgrade until may of 2010 but i do have insurance. If i make an insurance claim, what phones will I be able to receive since the quickfire is no longer available?
it depends on the amount of your insurance. Read more here;

I HAD the quickfire and miss it SOOOOO much! now i have the vu and im pretty happy, but really need a QWERTY keyboard! will at&t let me trade in my vu for a matrix?
A few days ago, the edge of my backpack hit my quickfire in my pocket. Now the display screen has a fractured appeareance, although the outer screen is fine. The touchscreen still works perfectly fine, along with calls and texts, but I’m wondering, how much would it cost to repair the screen?
