I’ve tried to download the driver and no luck. I’m sorry, but this is typical at&t… no support and no way to get things to work well. If anyone knows how to easily get the driver for a Pantech Slate I’d love to know and appreciate the help. The contact link on this page won’t even link to at&t customer service… Nice phone, but without any way to up/download data, pics and ringtones it looks like a ‘bait and switch’ kind of deal from at&t.

I agree. I ordered the usb cable as well and cannot seem to find a driver to make it work right. It charges my ph. on my pc. Big deal. So did the wall charger!!! I want to transfer data! I am still looking. Will let you know….

There is NO driver. I just talked to Pantech. This phone was never designed for a usb link. Yeah, the cable fits, but Pantech never made a driver.

I have the same problem. I got the pantech slate from AT&T and the cable, but am unable to transfer the software. It’s a bunch of crap. This really is typical AT&T..sell you something and then not back it up. I had a problem with another phone also and had to pay for the phone AGAIN before they would let me send it back to replace it ugh.
I feel sorry for anyone who buys a pantech slate!
If anyone gets the software, please email me: jr6r21@gmail.com

How can AT&T sell the cable to connect the Pantech Slate cell phone, knowing that it’s useless without a USB driver for the Pantech device. Are they that greedy that they don’t care about the people they’re ripping off by selling the useless cable? And whatever happened to customer service? They’re certainly not doing their customers any service by ripping them off like this. AT&T has lowered it’s corporate level to that of common street thieves. And they’re licensed by our government to do this!!

Transfer the pic via Bluetooth… The Slate can send and receive files via Bluetooth. The directions are in the slate manual…

Same here - no driver to be found!
Last resort - email pics as multimedia to yourself.

I contacted Pantech and was told that (1) there is no USB driver, (2) they are not planning to make a usb driver, (3) this phone was “never meant to sync” with a PC, (4) the USB cable is ONLY for charging the phone, (5) the Slate is an “entry level phone for basic texting and web stuff.

    Thanks AT&T.

Hey if you guys want to transfer files, you can send it with bluetooth from another phone if you have one. I do that and it works for me.
