AT&T Pantech matrix vs Pantech duo

AT&T Pantech matrix vs Pantech duo

The AT&T Pantech matrix is a sleek dual-sliding handset with both a full QWERTY keyboard and a regular number keypad, just like the Pantech duo.Unlike the Duo, the Matrix is not a smartphone, and is primarily designed as a messaging phone with high-end multimedia features. Its features include HSDPA, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, A-GPS (with AT&T Navigator support), instant messaging, a music player, mobile e-mail, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and quad-band GSM support. It is also a 3G phone access to AT&T Video Share calling, AT&T Mobile Music, Cellular Video, and mobile e-mail. Measures 4.02 inches by 1.97 inches by 0.78 inch and weighs about 4.7 ounces. While the Pantec

h duo is a smartphone running window mobile 6 ,and it also features quad-band support with HSDPA, access to AT&T’s broadband services like Mobile Music and Cellular Video, stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera锛3G and plus access to AT&T’s broadband services.

However the Pantech Duo has a cheap plastic body being breakable, and its sliding keypad comes off easily. The AT&T Pantech matrix does well at these aspects. But the pantech matrix also has some drawback,it suffers from tiny navigation keys and a flat keypad. The handset is also on the bulky side.On other hands, the biggest difference between the Duo and the Matrix is that the Duo has a Windows Mobile operating system, and the Matrix is just a texting phone.Meanwhile, the pantech duo is 499.99 without an agreement and the pantech matrix is 279.99.

Comparing the two cell phone,it is obvious which cell phone is better .

I own the Duo. I honestly, would rather the Matrix. The biggest issue I have is I was not told up-front before I spent close to $500 on this phone that it does not have a built-in GPS receiver. So in addition to what I have already spent on the phone, plus the extra cost for the data plan and subscription to Navigator, I now find out I need to spend another $100 on a GPS receiver. I am very unhappy about this, as this was why I bought the phone in the first place! The Matrix has built-in GPS from what I can see, and even though it doesn’t run Windows mobile, it is far superior from my standpoint.

I’ve had the pantech duo since july of this year. Personally, it sucks. The camera is pretty week, very bad pictures far away. The sound is so-so. Its not as good as my last phone (sony ericsson walkman) My phone sometimes goes blank and continues that way for 1-2 minutes. I do not recomend this phone, only to users who like the dual slider.
