I got my LG CU 920 Wine almost 4 weeks ago. The first time I put it on charger, when I took the charger off it came up with an emvelope and under that it said “Emergency Download” and the LG insigna. I took the battery out and put it back in and it started working. This lasted until I had to recharge it and the Emergency Download came on again. When this comes on, it will not let me do anything. Battery out and in and it worked. I have done this everytime I have charged it. In the last 2 weeks the Emergency Download is on permanently.
I have called Lg, AT&T 4 times and AT&T Premierere 3 times and no one knows what Emergency Download means and AT&T guys tell me that I am still under warranty. I can not get in touch with anyone at AT&T PREMIERE to get any Help. Does anyone had any Idea about what to do with Emergecny Download? Thank you for your help if you have any!!!!!!!!

Im really pissed off at AT & T for putting those stupid app’s on the phone and leaving ppl hanging without a choice of removing them….I hate I even purchased the phone. Shoulda went with the Iphone instead…..Ok, ppl theres away that you can have the app’s removed from your phone……What they are telling above is a down right out lie, might work on cu915, but we as cu920 users know better. I wouldnt dare post on here, so AT & T would take credit…think not…..It shows me that they dont know about it either. Its sad when a customer knows how to remove something off their product and they dont…..Sorry excuse as a company….

This is to anyone that has or is going to have the “Emergency Download” screen. It is not an ATT issue it is a glitch with the phone. You have to download the new program for the phone. This will wipe out all the info you already have on it, you will have to connect it to a computer and Call LG about it. I was on vacation when this happened and had to put my sim card in someone else’s phone. I really do not like the VU that much it just has so many problems. Sorry if you do like the phone but there are better touch screens out there.

I own a LG Vu. I can not figure out how or if its even possible to delete the list of recent out going text messages. I’m talking about the list of numbers that shows up when you try to send a text as an option to select because they were recently used.
