AT&T LG Incite Has Comes with GPS
There are some customers are wondering if the AT&T LG Incite have internal GPS ,and whether it could be installed GPS Navigator software and use it without internet connection like garmin mobile.Today I could tell you the truth.I got an LG Incite the other day, for the GPS. 聽It works fine with TurboGPS (free software). 聽It found the GPS in seconds and works fine. 聽I have tried using Delorme Streets, and I am fighting the set-up to get it to recognize the GPS.
Under Settings/System, there is an External GPS setting. 聽Here you can set up a virtual COM port by which most software should be able to find the GPS. 聽TurboGPS is new enought that it knows about the
Windows Mobile API, which virtualized the COM so multiple applications should be able to share the GPS 聽(without COM port conflicts).
Since the GPS is onboard, there is no need for any WiFi or internet service.
Has anyone tried the Incite with Microsoft Streets, TomTom or Garmin software? 聽I am looking at finding something with driving directions that works, and hopefully is not high priced.

Yes Garmin XT works really well. Been using it for a month now with no problems. Keep in mind that if you use GPS on the Incite, it uses aGPS (assisted). Meaning it uses AT&T cell towers to make GPS tracking faster. You will be charged for 7kb per track.
