AT&T LG Incite Firmware Update- ROM V10X Download

preparation: Before upgrading download several required software below: AT&T Cell phone Software
- LG usb modem driver: LG Incite Usb Drivers download
- LG beta software: http://www.lge.com/us/mobile-phones/beta-program.jsp
- LG Incite Updare ROM V10X: http://mobilephones.us.lge.com/
Now begin to update LG Incite:
- Install the update software and usb modem driver to your PC.
- Plug the usb cable into the PC.
- Power off your phone and enter Emergency Download mode by holding down [Vol Down + Lock] and insert the usb cable.
- Double-Click the file V10X_00.exe and it will self-extract. Once it is done, it will open the update utility.
- Click “update” and it will take care of the rest.
- Your phone will restart and will go straight to charging since it is plugged in. (the Incite has always done this)
- Just hit the power button and it will continue booting.
- That’s ok

It is because you are not using windows xp. If you are trying to install it with windows vista it won’t work. http://www.lgmobilephones.com/sms.aspx
I think I already have this update. How can I verify this? I am on my second LG Incite. The first one had a ROM date of January 2009. This new one, replaced under warranty, has a date of April 22, 2009 and ROM version V10x. The icons on the bottom of the home screen are programmable, and they weren’t on my first LG Incite.

Blue screened my xp laptop while flashing and now phone seems bricked. Awesome!!!
I actually just called LG about this update and they said that it currently won’t work if you are running Vista on your computer. They just haven’t updated everything on their end, so you have to find a computer that has XP and do it from there.
Kevin’s right. I tried updating the phone on my Vista computer, and it froze the phone. It was just stuck in Emergency Update Mode. I sent it back to the company, and they sent me a replacement phone. It was very inconvenient.
I guess I’ll try it on the XP computer instead…
Hello, I just upgraded my incite to wm6.5, would this ROM V10X Download replace the new wm I’m having?
If you have update the window mobile 6.5, there is no need to install the ROM V10X again
