Q:You can assign a ring tone only to a contact that is stored on the internal device memory.
Steps:
- Tap Start > Contacts.Tap the contact to whom you want to assign a ring tone.
- Tap Menu > Edit.
- Scroll to and tap the Ring tone field, and then tap the ring tone you want.
- Tap OK.
Tip:To assign a ring tone to a SIM contact, first you must save the contact to the internal device
memory. Open the contact and tap Menu > Save to Contacts. Assign a ring tone to the contact, and then tap OK. You will see two copies of the contact. One is stored on the internal device memory and has a distinctive ring tone, and the other is stored on the SIM card and does not have a distinctive ring tone.AT&T Cell phone FAQs
