AT& LG Xenon VS Samsung Impression reviews
The聽 AT&T LG Xenon and AT&T Samsung Impression are the latest and hottest touchscreen phone with full qwetry keypad on at&t wireless. Both phones are very similar, they are all dual sliders. While the Xenon is a little smaller than the Impression and it has a longer battery life. But the Impression has better resolution. The Impression does not have a headset jack, but if you plan to use Bluetooth, both will work fine. The Xenon has a stopwatch feature not included on the Impression, and it also offers voice dialing and commands, unlike the Impression. If you are afraid of dropping your phones, don’t choose lg mobile, choose the nokia phone. And now the nokia e71x is a goog choice.

Aren’t they the same except for the size???
Question, I use windows mail on my current pantech duo which is a smart phone, since neither the samsung impression or lg xenon is considered锘 a smart phone will I still be able to receive emails thru my windows mail account? I also sync my outlook calendar to my phone, will I be able to do that?
I love the qwerty keyboard so need a slider phone, can’t stand the blackberry’s and not sure I would like the iphone with only having the touch screen so need some guidance here.

some users say samsung has fixed the freezing problem already for ipmression phone, if so I recommend the samsung impression

go with the xenon if you are looking for a stylish fone with fun features. and the xenon in NOT like the vu its way better and why would you go with the impression…….. i mean the xenon has great quality and i wouldnt pay that much for that fone. my sister has it and it constantly freezes and i hate that when you get a text alert(IMPRESSION) the ringtone doesnt stop playin even if you touch the screen ITS ANNOYING. IM VERY IMPRESSED with the XENON you can customize your TEXT RINGTONE TOO which is AWESOME n BETTER than the VU. haha hope that helps
IMPRESSION! and no it does not freeze as much as ppl say.to me the xenon feels like if u drop it, it breaks easily. the impression is sturdy and awesome. the AMOLED touchscreen is great!! when i text on it, its easy and fun. and the impression has a proximity sensor that adjusts to the envirment also. better sound quality too. go impression!
Which phone, Impression or Xenon, would be better for work? I like getting my work email (Microsoft Outlook) as well as my personal emails so which phone would be better for that?
Overall, the samsung impression is better. But there is a little issue on syncing it with PC

Okay. So I can NOT decide which one to get!! Some ppl keep saying the Impression is better, some the Xenon!! Aggh!! I text a lot and I really would like a ‘ringtone’ for my text alert. Someone said that the Xenon doesn’t have that. But I think it’s like that way with all the LGs. Overall I think the Impression wins. Too many of my friends have the Xenon and they all like it, but hate little things that would really bug me. So I think I’m going with the Impression!

okay its the 29th and i got the impression on the 19th, my birthday. it was great until yesterday. it is so screwed up now when i have full bars calls faill and so do texts i get so pissed off and when i try to send texts and hit send, the screen switches back to the menu im so aggrivated. other than all these its a good phone and those are fixed when i turn it off and take out the battery then restart, but i think its a whole lot better than the xenon which sucks. and who knows mabe i dropped my phone to much and thats why its messed up
im not discouraging anyone from getting the impression, i really do love it
Samsung Impression SUCKS. It’s cool for the first month but after the first time you drop it, the keyboard lags up.
You’ll be typing and sometimes the space button will enter two space characters, which starts new sentences. It doubles letters extremely often.
About every other day, the phone will stop sending text messages as if it’s lost service. Turn the phone off and then back on and send the message again.
The battery life sucks.
It randomly has a bright purple screen sometimes and its like WTF? Where did that come from??!?!?!?!
So please. Stay away from the Impression.
I have to choose between the impression & the xenon; I’m sooooo confuseddd D: idk which one to qet; I use aim and text a lot; one thing that’s a must is on the aim I like to set my own aways and status but I think the Xenon doesn’t do it; Could you do this on the impression?

of course the samsung impression, it not only has a sensitive touchscreen, which is easy to text message. But also it has good quality and nice looks, so it ie enough to set your aways and status

Actually, i like the samsung impression, as it has a cool and senstive big toucscreen. But I finally choose the lg xenon, as I don’t have so much money, and in addtion, the xenon is enough for me.
So my b day is the 27th and i cant decide wether to get the xenon or the impression my friend isaac has a xenon and the touchscreen doesnt work very well so idk but im prolly gonna get the impression even though it costs more…
I have the XENON and I have had it for a little over a week. I like the phone b/c it is a slider and touchscreen together which is why I choose this phone. But, the web browsing experience is terrible. Whenever I get on some websites the phone freezes and cuts off on its own. Also if you text a lot, dont plan on saving your messages for long b/c it has a very short text memory EVEN IF YOU DO HAVE MICRO SD CARD b/c I also have one of those. So its all about which features are the most important to you. You may have to deal w/some things you dont like in order to have some things you do like.
I think im getting the XENON.

r u kidding me i have had experience with both phones and i have to say the xenon is for sure a better phone! the impression is not worth the money and the xenon has a way better touch screen.. the features are better too… Its easier to text on the xenon than the impression.. and it has better games too!! lol!

The screen is a lot of a difference… the impression has a 3.2 inch and the xenon only has a 2.8 inch plus, the AMOLED on the impression has a really good, clear, quality. Samsung is a better company than LG too. I was looking at the xenon first for a while and then the impression came out and the impression impressed me a lot

i just got the lg imression and i was thinking about getting the lg xenon but i got the impression the screen is bigger and it takes really good pics. the messages are sent fast too.
I was thinking of the getting the Samsung Impression until I found out it does not have voice dialing. With the big push to have a hands free phone it doesn’t make sense to have a phone without voice dialing. I want to use my Bluetooth headset but with out voice dialing I still have to pickup the phone and find the number.
Is this a software issue on the phone or is it permanent?
this is totally not a big help. i dont have any friends with the impression, but a few have the xenon. (probably b/c the price.) anyway, i have played with the xenon and my friend says it freezes multiple times a day and to NOT get it. i’m torn after reading all these comments. i want the samsung, but a lot of people seem to have strong opinions about both of these phones and i’m thinking about just going with a completely different phone now.
any ideas?

As for the xenon… Its good if you have small fingers for the texting, although it has a SERIOUS lack in hardware ability, and the operating system on it is really shitty..
now for the impression… The impression is an all in one, really. All the applications and features of the xenon plus the impression has a full light up keyboard, AMOLED screen, and its running touchwiz 3.0 as its operating system. The USB cable allows users to modify their phone and add applications.
The impression is much better :p

First off, you have no clue about a smart phone, you have a clue about flip phones, if that.

it freezes 24/7 – Complete lie, you overcrowded it with photos, of course its going to freeze a lot.
the keys dont press very well – That’s because you haven’t used it long enough or your 14… and don’t have strong fingers.
its very complex and confusing – Hey if your brain can’t handle it that’s your fault.
it turns off by itself all the time – Phones have to restart for updates, so they don’t “freeze 24/7″.
battery life sucks – Thats because you just bought it, by the second thing you said, “the keys dont press very well”. Battery life sucks when you buy a phone factory made, after charging it the life increases.
the pictures dont come out so great – maybe you cant take one? this phone has 2048X1536 resolution pictures, along with 3.0 mega pixel hardware, if you didnt notice thats one of the best on the market

ok …do not get the impression. i got this phone and loved it ..however after a drop or two i can’t use my keyboard anymore because it lags .also it scarthes soooooo easy.. every once in a while i have to shut it off or it won’t send messages….thank you for reading this

Here’s the deal. This is my third time getting the LG Xenon. Maybe it’s just me but the first two times my xenon has froze up at random times or when I closed the phone slowly the phone had a black screen even though I heard phone calls. Now, with my final time using the Xenon, my phone is stuck on this screen where it has really poor resolution and the colors are just….off. I love my LG Xenon but It’s time for a change because this is the third time my phone has acted up so I will be gettin the Impression in about 2 days.
ok i have a samsunge solstice and when i click on games it says ” you are accesing the network, charges may apply, click yes or no? but i have the internet!!!!!!!! am i getting charged when i click yes ?
they both suck…..i have the xenon and it freezes when logging on fb or any other site like it…it erases log in information and will send majority of my text messages to my drafts but still say they are sent too?!?!?!?!?! i do think the touch screen is ok and i love the keyboard though. the speakers are crap and if u dont have a memory card dont expect to have pics or music or videos saved to your phone or it will freeze ever few minutes. couple friends have the impression and say they experience the same problems as i do with the xenon….best bet is to get an iphone or a crackberry….DO NOT PURCHASE THESE SHITTY PHONES U WILL REGRET IT!!!!!
I just got my LG Xenon today; first impression counts most…Does it not? Ive been playing around with it for about an hour…maybe two..And so far I think it is a nice phone with good features. The only thing I dont like is the slide out keyboard. I used to have an LG VU (absoloutely loved that phone) and got the Xenon when that one got water damage, anyways, since I had the LG VU I am used to the onscreen touch keyboard and I am having a really hard time getting used to only have the slide out keyboard…Hopefully I will get over that soon =/ Other than that personal complaint…Everything is good, I guess.
I have the LG Xenon. I am currently on my 3rd one because, as others have said, it freezes multiple times a day and I have to take the battery out to restart it. Aside from the freezing, this is the BEST PHONE I’VE EVER HAD! (And I’ve been through about 6 or 7) The size much better compared to the Impression, and obviously the price helps. I wish I didn’t have to switch to a different phone, but the freezing has become way too overwhelming, especially when you’re in a hurry, etc. Other people are lucky to have not found any problems with the Xenon, I wish that was the case for me (But it IS strange that all THREE of my Xenon’s have had the freezing problem…)

Lg Xenon is great, but man, the sim card initializing is killing me. Will, I am sending my first one in and hope that it better then the first one. Cause the Lg Xenon has a kick ass keyboard.
Ok so i can get a new phone in may, and both the impression and the xenon are good looking phones, but will they ever come out with a second one of eigher?
I am super obsessed with looking at all the new phones out and i know just about everything there is to know about both, the impression had a bigger touchscreen, a better camera, and more comftrable keyboard, but the xenon had flash on the camera, more features, and a smaller price.
So why can’t they just come out with a second one of either since so many people like the originals? if they did i would buy it in a heartbeat.!

i had the same problem i couldnt choose which to get the xenon or impression? i would go to att every couple days to check the phones out but it always came out to the lg xenon and samsung than finally it was the day to get the phone i was going to get the xenon but my dad told me it would probably suck because it was so much cheaper and the samsung cost more so it mustve agreed and the guy who sold me the phone agreed. i left the store with the impression, its amazing it has wigits on the home screen like a computer which the xenon cant do you its easy to text i love the video quality same as the camera it has an on screen keyboard like the lg vu and the browser is really good andd its easier to text because the buttons are bigger and the xenon there like so close together. im using my impression right now to right these and look how much ive written.
Ok guys im gona go with the impression it looks way more fun and has better features. In my opinion the xenon is for people who are just cheap!
